I've never seen the large chips. The small is so huge, I can't even imagine.

The cod is good. The haddock is phenomenal. The chips are perfect. Salt and vinegar, slice of lemon. Great.

Deep-fried mars bars are worth trying once. They're good, but really rich.

Prices are decent. Prepare to wait 7-8 minutes if you want a fish other than cod.

A decent chipper, this! Although I'm surprised that it's an award winner.

I've eaten from her a number of times and the chips are good. A good mix of big chunky chips and small little crunchy ones; with odd little bits of batter!

The fish is good, but it isn't amazing. That said, it is a lot better than some of the battered cod I've had in Bristol. The fish cakes are ok, but you can tell they're bought in, so you could get the same anywhere. The battered sausages are way too greasy and while you can't expect a posh banger in a batter sausage, these aren't great.

They do sell lots of sauces, pickled eggs, pies and other stuff you'd expect from a chipper. But its much the same as any other!

I used to live opposite this beaut of a chippy. I believe it's award winning!

The chips are consistently great but it's all about the fish in this place (hence the name). A good battered cod is actually quite hard to find but Fishers presents a crispy batter and fresh white fish...nothing worse than a soggy cod! I also love the scampi. Even though I know it's not the healthiest dinner option it needs to be fresh and delicious, and it is.

There's loads of other fish on the menu but I tend to fancy the classics for a chip shop treat. I also enjoy a good chicken and mushroom pie and a sausage from here. It's clean and the staff are nice. Get amongst it!

Right at the top of Whiteladies Road this traditional fish and chip shop is a bit of a trek but well worth it!

It has a great family feel and the staff were very friendly and efficient. I ordered quite a large amount of food - cod and chips, battered sausage and chips and chicken nuggets. Some of this had to be made fresh, and it was cooked perfectly in very quick time!

I had the choice of any sauce I could possibly want - including BBQ - which is a must in my house! And the fish was not only given an ample coating of salt and vinegar but a slice of lemon too - a rare touch and much appreciated. The only criticism I might give is that the fish was a bit dry.

Very good portions and very good service; Fishers is the ideal place for a quick dinner. A staple part of the British diet, this is the type of fish & chip shop that reminds you of growing up; excitedly taking the delicious smelling dinner home, or being impatient and opening the chips before you make it.

This is the local chippy, and so much more. The fish and chip shop does everything you would expect, good fish and chips. Don't get this place mixed up with the new wave of fancy fish and chip shops that have swamped the nation. This is your run of the mill fish and chip shop, but it is good.

The Price tag is a little high but nothing to stop you from going, i am being picky. If only it were open in the early hours. I for one would name myself as an 'early hours Fishers customer'.
